100 Years of Royalty

The Sacramento Kings are one of the oldest franchises in the NBA, tracing their roots back to 1923 as the Rochester Seagrams (yes, the Canadian whiskey).

While the fans in Sacramento passionately love the team, not everyone is familiar with its rich history. To commemorate our 100-year franchise anniversary we unveiled the 2023-24 City Edition Uniform, inspired by designs from the 1960s, by creating the :60 film “We Tip our Crown.” Additionally, we've introduced a special anniversary logo, exclusive merchandise, and engaging social posts to mark this momentous occasion.

We Tip Our Crown

To launch the 2023-24 City Edition Uniform we created the :60 film “We Tip our Crown.” Voiced by Sacramento native Sam Elliott, the film tells the story of the long and winding road of our beloved team, celebrating our finest moments. “We Tip our Crown” launched across the team’s social channels and ran on local broadcast TV during games.
