More Than Just a Uniform

Uniform design plays a vital role in shaping a team's brand, serving as a powerful visual representation of its identity, history, and values. The colors, logos, and overall aesthetic of a uniform create lasting connections between the brand and its fans, both on and off the court. More than just apparel, a uniform extends the brand's story, building loyalty, evoking pride, and reinforcing the team’s presence within the community. Each uniform tells a unique part of that story, making it an essential component of the brand experience.

Doug Remembers.

For the launch of the Sacramento Kings' 2024-25 Classic Edition uniform, we aimed to evoke nostalgia by celebrating the unforgettable early-2000s Kings. Doug Christie and Mike Bibby, two iconic players from that period, helped bring the unveiling to life in a playful video that embraces the past. Set to the classic track "Welcome Back," the reveal shows Christie pulling the throwback uniform from a box in a garage, sparking memories and reuniting him with his teammate and friend, Mike Bibby. The lighthearted tone and familiar faces in the video take fans on a trip down memory lane, capturing the joy and excitement of that era while connecting it to the upcoming season. This reveal isn’t just about the uniform—it’s about celebrating the bond between the team, its players, and the fans.

Kings City Edition 2021-22

For the Proud.

The City Edition uniform design honors the deep bond between the team and Sacramento, marking the 10th anniversary of the fight to keep the team in the city. Celebrating this victory and the creation of the state-of-the-art arena, the uniform incorporates elements from the fan anthem, Sacramento Proud, and the arena’s architecture. With a fresh color scheme and the city’s name prominently featured, the design represents more than just the team—it embodies the spirit of Sacramento.

A Fit for a King.

In celebration of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary, the 2021-22 Nike NBA City Edition uniforms serve as the ultimate basketball mixtape, showcasing each franchise’s most iconic moments. For the Kings, these designs pay tribute to the 1951 Rochester Royals, the 1985 Sacramento Kings—the year the franchise relocated to Sacramento, forever changing the city—and the unforgettable 2002 Kings, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the team's arrival and their thrilling run to the Western Conference Finals.

Sactown Kings.

The 2018-19 Nike City Edition uniforms bring back the Kings' iconic baby blue and red, with "Sactown" boldly displayed across the chest—honoring Sacramento's pride and passionate fanbase. Granite striping and retro red trim blend with modern accents, while the lion logo on the shorts represents the roar of Kings fans. This design nods to the team’s history while embracing the city’s future.
